Herald photographer was blocked by GMC security staff, while he tried to click a picture of patients lined up outside the OPDs as part of reportage of the situation. The photographer informed that he had no intentions to enter the OPD but only to take a picture of people standing outside. The staff, sought to know whether permission for the same had been sought and claimed that without it, clicking pictures are not allowed. The photographer replied that it was a govt hospital and that media is allowed to take photographs and that he was not entering the OPD. The heated issue was later resolved with the security –in-charge.
