MARGAO: The Herald Group Education Expo 2016 was inaugurated at the Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, at the hands of Ravindra Bhavan Chairman Damu Naik on Friday. Over 14 stalls have been setup at the expo by various colleges from India and will serve as a single window for guiding the recently passed students of higher secondary schools, besides others.
Speaking at the inauguration, Naik said, “This is an innovative step from Herald. This expo will also serve as guidance for the students, who earlier had to visit all the colleges and take the details of the courses. They will get the information at one place.”
He continued, “The students will be able to have a one-on-one chat with the colleges, and I urge Herald to have this exposition in every taluka of Goa so that all the students who are seeking admissions in their desired trades will get a better platform.”
“Hats off to Herald and I urge the students to come and visit the expo so that they save time and take good and fast decisions about their career,” Damu added.
Along with guidance on courses, the colleges at the expo will also apprise the students of basic career guidance to enable them to make proper decisions. Every stall at the Herald expo has guides and experts from the exhibitor colleges from Goa and beyond, who will help the students get what they desire.
The K L E Engineering and Technology College has exhibited its strength in the placement of the students and is offering BE, MTech, MBA and other courses. Anjuman College of Technology and Management has emphasised on the infrastructure for the students studying at its institutes and has also showcased its list of offered courses. The Bradford Aviation Academy is targeting the students who wish to take up aviation as their career. V M Salgaonkar College of Hospitality Management was also an exhibitor and has vouched for its unique and in-demand trade of the hospitality industry of Goa.
The expo which will conclude on May 14, is expected to be attended by several students and faculty members.
