High Court asks petitioner to suggest ways to control dust in Porvorim

High Court of Bombay at Goa

The Bombay High Court at Goa has directed petitioner Moses Pinto to submit a detailed report, with properly numbered recommendations, within a week on measures to curb dust pollution in Porvorim. Pinto had approached the court, raising concerns over record-high dust levels along the construction stretch of the ongoing flyover works. He highlighted that reduced visibility due to dust posed a significant risk of accidents. Taking note of these concerns, the court has asked the petitioner to provide a comprehensive and consolidated report suggesting practical solutions to manage and prevent dust pollution in the area, ensuring the safety of commuters and residents. Authorities are expected to review the recommendations once submitted.
