Himachal native held with charas

CANACONA: Canacona police arrested a Himachal native for possessing 302 grams of suspected charas worth Rs 60,000, on Wednesday night.

CANACONA: Canacona police arrested a Himachal native for possessing 302 grams of suspected charas worth Rs 60,000, on Wednesday night.
Acting on specific information, PSI Remedios D’Souza of Canacona police station along with staff and two panchas conducted a raid on Wednesday night at Patnem beach. During an extensive search of the beach and surrounding area, police caught Rajender Singh with 302 grams of suspected charas worth Rs 60,000. 
The substance was attached under the panchanama along with cash of Rs 2940 and his Adhar card which were on his person.
Canacona police have filed a remand application before the local Judicial Magistrate First Class, seeking the custody of Singh for six days to complete investigation.
Canacona police have sent the charas to SP, to be sent to FDA, Bambolim for scientific examination.
The case is being investigated by PSI Remedios D’Souza under the supervision of PI Filomeno Costa.
Rajender Singh has been booked under Section 20(b)(ii)(A) of NDPS Act.
