PANJIM: Calangute Police on Sunday morning arrested on Himachal Pradesh native under NDPS Act for possessing narcotics substance.
Calangute Police have informed that based on the reliable information the trap was laid and the accused Shiv Dyal (22) native of Kullu from Himachal Pradesh was arrested. Officials have said that the information was given to the Police that the native of HP was supposed to deal in narcotics at Baga pay parking in Calangute. However, based on the description team apprehended him and found narcotics with him. From his possession 190 gm of Ganja and 620 gm of Charas has been seized.
Police have said that the material is worth Rs 90,000 in the international market.
The case has been booked under section 20(b)(ii)(A) of NDPS Act, 1985 against accused and further investigation is under progress.
