MARGAO: Gomantak Hindu Pratishthan in a memorandum submitted to the South Goa Collector has called for stern action against the believer group functioning under Five Pillars Christian Church and demanded that they be debarred from having religious services at nine places around Margao.
President of Gomantak Hindu Pratishthan while pointing out that all religious communities have lived peacefully in Goa by respecting each ones religious beliefs said the Five Pillars Christian Church by adopting some objectionable practices threaten to cause communal disharmony in the State.
Alleging that the Five Pillars Christian Church makes converts trample pictures and idols of their earlier religion, he said this could vitiate the atmosphere and cause problems in future. Besides he alleged that the miraculous oil given by followers of that sect was nothing but parachute coconut oil.
