vasco: Vasco BJP Mandal President and the former chairperson of Mormugao Municipal Council, Deepak Naik feels that like the Zilla Panchayat (ZP) election, the municipal elections should also be held on party lines.
He added that BJP candidates will win easily and reiterated the party’s stance, that despite the opposition to various elections, the ZP election showed that people strongly support the BJP and ‘development’. On the coal issue, he said Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has promised to reduce coal by 50 per cent and won’t allow more coal in the State.
He also added that BJP’s results in South Goa where 16 candidates contested and 14 won is very good.
He added that there is a BJP wave and that the party will win not only the municipal election but also the next State assembly elections.
He added that holding the municipal elections on party lines will help bring out development at the grassroot level.
