PANJIM: In view of rising COVID-19 cases, the Goa University (GU) has directed its affiliated colleges to conduct theory classes for all under graduate programmes via online mode during the ongoing month.

In a circular issued to all the colleges, GU Officiating Registrar M Shreedhara has said that the practical for the Final Year students, will only be continued in the offline mode.
The GU has permitted colleges to conduct one Intra- Semester Assessment (ISA) for Final Year students, compulsorily in the offline mode, while the other ISAs are to be conducted in the online mode.
“The best out of the two ISAs conducted in the online mode is to be considered wherever applicable,” the University said adding that the ISAs for the continuing students are to be conducted in online mode.
Further, GU also mentioned that the Semester End Examinations (SEE) for the Semesters other than the Final Year, are to be conducted in the online mode.
The University has said that the Mode of Conduct of the SEE for the Final Year students would be communicated in May, after reviewing the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the State.
