According to information, the incident occurred at around 10 am in the morning when the owner of house namely Syed Doddanami had gone out while his son was alone watching TV in the house.
“I was out of home for work and my son was watching TV when fire erupted from the cables connected to the TV set. My son raised alarm and the neighbours managed to douse the flames before the officials from Vasco fire station could arrive,” Doddamani said.
Meanwhile, due to the fire incident, whole TV showcase, electronic items including the TV set, clothes and other household items were gutted and loss is yet to be estimated.
