MARGAO: The firefighters of Margao were kept busy the entire day as 2 cases of tree crashing on houses were reported in Benaulim and near the Housing Board.
A branch of a banyan tree gave way on Tuesday afternoon at Pedda in Benaulim. The branch fell on wires causing blackout in the area for quite some time. The branch crashed on a car however a woman pedestrian had a lucky escape as the branch snapped and fell on the electricity wires.
In another incident, a tree crashed on a house near the Housing board area. Two more houses were damaged in the incident.
