VASCO: Hundreds of people thronged the Vasco Consumer Expo, at SAG Ground, Chicalim, on Friday.
The Vasco Consumer Expo is being organised in association with Herald, Amcho Awaz, Dainik Herald and HCN. The Vasco Consumer Expo which started on November 7 will conclude on November 11. In all, 50 stalls have kept on display various consumers from garments to leather wears, snacks cutlery and cookery and furniture and it will be sold at a discounted rate.
On Friday, hundreds of people were seen buying different household products which are kept on display at the Consumer Expo.
Speaking to Herald, most of the stall owners said such sales helps the consumers to make their choice as different consumer products are available under one roof.
“Not everyone comes to purchase the products, some just visit the stalls and enjoy some snacks at the food counter,” said a stall owner.
Some consumers said such sales provide them with a wide choice to purchase the products. Garments and leather goods besides some household items are some of the products the consumers like to purchase.
On Thursday, former deputy speaker and Dabolim MLA Mauvin Godinho inaugurated the Vasco Consumer Expo in the presence of Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) Chairperson Sunita Usgaonkar, Head of Events of Herald Savio Monterio and Executive Events Allan Rebello.
Speaking on the occasion, Godinho complimented Herald for organising such a sale in Vasco and said such sales help consumers to buy their requirements under one roof without wasting much time.
“Consumers can make their choice as various products are kept on display and buy, as the organizers have provided discounts on their products. By organising such consumer’s expo, Herald is giving a platform to the otherwise busy citizens to buy their products under one roof,” said Godinho.
