PANJIM: Former Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Tuesday said that he is a serious claimant for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket in Mandrem constituency and that he will accept the decision of the high command and work for the party.
“I am a serious contestant/claimant for Mandrem seat and party should think on it. I have full faith in the high command,” he said when asked whether he will ask for party nomination in Mandrem which is currently represented by party MLA.
The former party president refused to accept that the import of MLAs from other parties have facilitated the growth of BJP in the State. The party may have formed the government by importing MLAs but the BJP has not grown with the import of these MLAs, he said.
