The Margao Sessions Court on Saturday dismissed the discharge application filed by Mauvin Godinho and four others in the alleged Rs 4.52 crore power rebate scam. Speaking about the setback, Godinho stated that he had asked the court for reinvestigation and not a further investigation of the case, which was not considered by the judge at this point in the trial. Godinho alleged that certain people want the case to go on trial to derail his political career.
