CBI questions Parrikar for 2 hours, may summon again
CM to be examined as witness l Chargesheet to take time

Former chief minister and the leader of Opposition Manohar Parrikar was today quizzed for nearly two hours by the Central Bureau of Investigation officials in connection with an alleged scam related to expenditure on infrastructure development for the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), 2004.
“We had called Parrikar in connection with the IFFI 2004 case registered with us in 2007,” CBI SP (ACB) S S Gawli told media persons here after the questioning.
He said the CBI basically wanted explanation from the former chief minister with regards to the case.
“At this stage we can’t say anything as we may again need to question him,” Gawli said replying to a query on what was the outcome of the questioning.
CBI officials said that Chief Minister Digambar Kamat would also be examined as a witness in course of the investigation.
On asked how many persons have been questioned or examined so far, Gavali said, “The Investigating Officer (IO) Rajiv Rishi has so far examined 35 persons in connection with the case.”
