After experiencing Goan hospitality for 10 years, the International Film Festival of India, made Goa its permanent home.
The Central government formally declared the State as the permanent venue for the prestigious annual festival and also sent Entertainment Society of Goa, the joint nodal agency for IFFI, a letter to this effect.
The festival in November brought on stage two of India’s most loved film stars – Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikant. While the former inaugurated the festival, the latter was honoured with the lifetime achievement award.
