MARGAO: The Margao unit of the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind will host a get together on July 20 at the MCC hall, near Rajendra Prasad Stadium, Margao, at 5 pm. The Iftaar ~ breaking of the fast at dusk is being organised to forge an understanding between different faiths and to provide an opportunity for dialogue and foster communal harmony.
Eminent Konkani writer Damodar Mauzo, Fr Eremito Rebelo, Maulana Abdul Mubeen Asari will be the speakers at the Iftaar. The Ahmednagar editor of Marathi weekly Shodan, Dr Ikram Khan, will also address the gathering.
