IGP Garg gets relieve & transfer order

PANJIM: Goa Police on Saturday relieved Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sunil Garg with effect from Monday, October 17.

PANJIM: Goa Police on Saturday relieved Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sunil Garg with effect from Monday, October 17. 
Earlier this month, Garg had been transferred to Delhi with the Joint Cadre Authority of AGMU approving the transfer. The relieve-transfer order to Delhi comes amidst allegations of corruption.
Garg, a 1992 batch, AGMUT Cadre officer, joined as Inspector General of Police, Goa Police on September 1, 2014. He earlier worked in Arunachal Pradesh, Pondicherry and Delhi.
