PANJIM: Crime Branch sleuths on Wednesday seized illegal tobacco products from a private premise at Davorlim in Margao and arrested a 24-year-old trader for the offense.
Superintendent of Police (Crime Branch) Pankaj Kumar said that a variety of illegal tobacco products valued at Rs 12 lakh was confiscated during the raid. The products were brought to illegally sell in the shops in and around Margao market.
Margao local Abdul Hamid Mansur has been arrested for the offence under section 87 (a) & 87(f) of Goa Daman Diu Public Health Amendment Act.
