According to the forecast, wind speeds are expected to reach between 40 and 50 kmph during thunderstorm activity, with intermittent spells of rain also likely in several areas.

The weather advisory comes amid changing atmospheric conditions ahead of the anticipated onset of the southwest monsoon. The IMD has urged residents to remain cautious, particularly during periods of lightning and strong winds that may affect outdoor activities and traffic movement.

Authorities have advised fishermen, motorists and the general public to stay updated with weather bulletins and take necessary precautions during adverse weather conditions.

The Yellow Alert indicates the possibility of weather-related disruptions and serves as a cautionary warning for residents to remain vigilant. While widespread severe weather is not expected, isolated areas could experience intense thunderstorm activity accompanied by lightning and strong gusts.
