PANJIM: There is an improvement in the medical status of Deputy Speaker Vishnu Surya Wagh, the State government said on Tuesday, referring to the reports from the Director Professional Services, Hinduja Hospital.
A press statement issued by the govt through the DIP reads, “On admission, he was deeply unconscious but all other organs were functioning normally. He has undergone an MRI examination of his brain and has had three EEGs. He has been examined by a neurologist and three intensivists.”
“His brain has suffered significant injury because of lack of blood supply when he suffered the cardiac arrest,” the government said. “It is now 12 days since Wagh suffered the cardiac arrest and there is an improvement in his medical status.” “He has been weaned off the ventilator today. If he continues to be comfortable without the ventilator, then further treatment plan will be worked out,” the press statement adds.
