MAPUSA: Anjuna police arrested a 23-year-old Indore native for filing a fake rape case against a Mumbai businessman Kishore Keshwani.
She has been booked under Sections 467, 468, 191, 192, 195, 384, 388, 201, 12B of IPC. She was produced before the JMFC, Mapusa who remanded her to seven days police custody. During the interrogation, it came to light that the main accused Anil Jaisinghani had asked the woman to file a fake complaint.
The main accused Anil Jaisinghani is yet to be arrested. Further investigation is in progress.
It may be recalled that Anjuna police on the basis of the rape case filed by the woman, had arrested Keshwani. He was granted bail by a local court in March 2016. She had filed complaint against Keshwani alleging that he had called her to a hotel on pretext of providing a job and later raped her.
During investigation it came to light that at that time, the accused was at his Mumbai residence. The police informed that they have CCTV footage to prove the same.
