Inquiry committee to file complaint against top officials of Goa Dairy

To demand with Registrar of Cooperative Societies for a thorough investigation into the affairs of Goa Dairy and it top officials; Savordekar denies blackmailing Chairman Sahkari

PONDA: The inquiry committee appointed to investigate the losses suffered by cattle feed plant of Goa Dairy, has decided to file a complaint with Registrar of Cooperative Societies demanding a thorough investigation into the affairs of Goa Dairy and it top officials.
Addressing the media at Ponda, the Inquiry Committee Chairman Dattaprasad Savordekar said that since his team has not been allowed to conduct an inquiry into the losses of the cattle fee plant by the Chairman Mhadav Sahkari and Managing Director Dr Navso Sawant, he has decided to file a complaint with Registrar of Cooperative Societies demanding a full inquiry into the affairs of Goa Dairy, the conduct of Sahkari and Sawant.
Savordekar further informed that the committee would submit the vital documents in its possession on the scams committed by the top officials of Goa Dairy, to the Registrar.
Savordekar reiterated that despite being appointed by the annual general meeting (AGM) of Goa Dairy, the committee was not allowed by Sahkari and Sawant to investigate the reasons for the loss suffered by the cattle feed plant.
Meanwhile, Savordekar rejected the claim of Sahkari that the inquiry committee has no legal validity as its members are also members of the Goa Dairy.
“An inquiry is needed to clean up the scams in Goa Dairy. From his actions, it appears that Sahkari he is protecting the MD and as the chairman he is also involved in the scam,” Savordekar said.
Rejecting the claim of Sahkari that the inquiry committee was blackmailing him, Savordekar dared the chairman to prove it.
“If he proved that inquiry committee is blackmailing him, then, I will as its chairman. But if fails, then, Madhav Sahkari should resign from chairmanship of Goa Dairy,” he said.
He alleged that after the appointment of the inquiry committee, the Goa Dairy MD increased the prices of cattle feed by Rs 4 per kg, to cover up the fraud committed by the top officials of Goa Dairy.
