PONDA: Thieves broke open window grills of United Insurance Company at Tisk, Ponda, yesterday night, opened the cupboards with rods and decamped with Rs 33,000.
The thieves also broke open a table drawer and stole Rs 2000, bringing the total of cash stolen to Rs 35,000. Company official Anuradha Borkar lodged a complaint with the Ponda Police Station.
