MARGAO: Curtorim Congress MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco has complained that the Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behavior (IPHB) is being ignored.
Reginaldo has complained that the hospital is being ignored by the BJP government and has advised them to put the hospital in order.
He informed of having spoken to the dean and Health Secretary and also written to the Health Minister and Chief Minister regarding the precarious condition of the IPHB.
“The IPHB has ceased to provide humane treatment to the patients admitted in the hospital. The patients are not being treated well there. The rights of patients are envisaged in the act. But they are not being given to them at the hospital,” the MLA alleged.
“Beds, bed linen are bad state, sanitation and hygiene is in a bad condition. Suicide cases have happened inside the premises,” he said.
