PANJIM: A new Industrial training institute is planned at Valpoi to get trained manpower for Mopa airport.
Valpoi MLA and Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that besides the ITI in Pernem, a new ITI will be set up in Valpoi to train the manpower required for Mopa Airport.
The minister informed that a new ITI would come up on a 20,000 sq mt of land at Valpoi.
“We will start courses needed for Mopa airport. Manpower will be trained only in Pernem and Sattari,” Rane asserted.
“There will be thrust on starting new courses like those needed for civil aviation in all IITs as per the need of the hour,” he added.
Rane also said that the Government of Goa would participate in Expo in Dubai.
Meanwhile, the minister announced that the government would start 250 sewing and stitching centres for women across Goa.
