Sources informed that there were heated arguments between the councillors during the meeting. At the end of the meeting, that the group agreed to remain united till the elections.
Alemao directed them against giving a chance to the opposition to talk about the controversy and take advantage of the rift between the ruling councillors. Chairperson Lavita Mascarenhas, vice chairperson Mario Moraes, Sashank Dessai, Prenzy Coutinho, Angela Paiginkar, Udesh Gaonkar and Succorina Fernandes attend the meet.
Alemao is striving hard to re-enter politics.
It may be recalled that Herald reported on a rift in the Alemao-backed ruling councillors’ group. Taking the cognisance of the Herald report, Alemao called on all seven councillors at his Varca residence and tried to sort out the differences.
