Judicial custody for blast accused

The accused arrested in the Margao bomb blast case Prashant Juvekar has been remanded to 14 days judicial custody.
The accused was formally arrested by the NIA on Thursday after he was brought to Goa from Nashik on a transfer warrant.
Sources in the NIA said that the investigating agency would take custody of the accused as and when required during the course of investigations.
NIA’s legal counsel S B Faria said the Sessions Court today remanded accused Prashant Juvekar to judicial custody, adding that the NIA was free to seek police custody of the accused as and when required under the law.
