MARGAO: Margao Town Police registered offences against the mob for forming an unlawful assembly in the Civil & Criminal Court building, Margao and for criminally intimidating Adv Rajeev Gomes in connection with the Kamakshi Forex case.
Margao Town Police registered offences under Section 143, 506 read with 149 IPC.
The FIR stated that on June 10 at 3 pm, around 100 people with their common object assembled in front and rear exits of the Civil & Criminal Court building, Margao. Some of them threatened Adv Rajeev Gomes of dire consequences if he failed to withdraw from the case. Further investigation is in progress.
Meanwhile, the South Goa Advocates’ Association (SGAA) at its extra-ordinary general body meeting held recently unanimously condemned the investors of Kamakshi Forex Private Limited (KFPL), for verbally abusing Advocate Gomes for representing accused Nilesh Raikar in the Kamakshi case.
