PERNEM: Pernem Police arrested 41-year-old Karnataka native one Keltsang Dorjee for allegedly possessing narcotics drugs suspected to be charas and ganja.
PI Jivba Dalvi said Pernem Police received information from reliable sources that a person is involved in drug activities at Arambol. Based on the information, the police on Sunday traced the accused near Banyan Tree, Arambol and conducted a surprise raid during which he was found in possession of narcotics drugs suspected to be charas and ganja worth Rs 20,000.
The drugs were immediately seized and taken into custody under the panchanama. Pernem police have registered offence under Section 20(b)(ii)(A) of NDPS Act. The raiding team headed by PI Jivba Dalvi comprised PSI Sanjit Kandolkar, head constable Chandrakant Parsekar, constables Anishkumar Poke, Ravi Mahloji, Gajanan Sawant and Vishnu Gad.
