MARGAO: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has alleged a secret pact between the Congress and BJP in Goa and has urged the people not to waste their votes on these parties.
Addressing a meeting in Margao, Kejriwal called upon the people to clean Digambar, Parsekar and Parrikar with the AAP broom.
Candidates of Benaulim, Navelim, Curtorim, Cuncolim, Margao, Fatorda and other constituencies were present.
“Till date both the BJP and the Congress have “inked” secret pact of ruling the state for 5 years each and of looting it for 5 years each. It is decided that they won’t take action against each other,” he alleged.
Kejriwal also promised to set up at least 400 mohallah clinics in Goa, which will serve the people of Goa.
“Digambar Kamat government, which ruled for five years till 2012, looted the state in the form of mining. Rs 36,000 crore of loot would have changed the face of the State. Even Parrikar went door-to-door claiming that they will jail the accused and recover the money. But nothing happened, which is a clear indicator that there is a pact between them,” he alleged.
The BJP is in pieces for being a U-turn government and people are waiting to vent their anger on them,” Kejriwal said.
Launching a scathing attack on both the Congress and the BJP, AAP’s Chief Ministerial candidate Elvis Gomes said, “I see the AAP wave in Mandrem, Pernem, Mormugao and Margao. This wave will also reach Porvorim.”
“It’s been over 50 years since Goa’s liberation but we still have a question as to who will save Goa? We say it is the people who will save Goa,” he added.
“The day we form Government we will make sure that we recover Rs 36,000 crore and will jail the accused,” he added.
Elvis said rocket science cannot solve Sonsoddo problem but AAP will solve it in 6 months.
“Digambar Kamat has been representing Margao constituency for 22 years and the town is decaying. Don’t forgive these insults of the leaders,” he urged the people of Margao.
AAP’s Navelim candidate Siddharth Karapurkar accused the Government of being a capitalist government and said, “We will give the power to the people.”
AAP’s Benaulim candidate Royla Fernandes said, “AAP manifestos are constituency specific. The MLAs have failed to provide apt development on time. The Panchayati Raj Act, which is hollow and has no strength, will be empowered for the betterment of the villages.”
“AAP is a party, which is secular and we need such candidates,” said Sanjiv Raiturkar.
