CANACONA: Khola gram sabha discussed water and other issues affecting the residents of the village on Sunday.
The meeting held at the panchayat hall was chaired by the Sarpanch Purna Nayak and attended by all 9 panchas and over 150 residents, who actively participated in the business conducted during the meeting.
At the meeting, villager Harishchandra Kholkar moved a motion to congratulate Purna Nayak for successfully completing two previous terms as sarpanch with good overall development of the village.
Sunil Pagi, Prashant Kholkar and Freddy Fernandes spoke in favour of the motion and congratulated the Sarpanch. In the beginning, Secretary Raju Naikgaonkar read out the minutes of the previous gram sabha and got it ratified from the members.
Taps running dry on Sundays was debated and the members present requested the sarpanch to get it sorted out.
