Khola house burgled in daylight

CANACONA, JUNE 21 In a daylight robbery, burglars decamped with cash and gold ornaments with Rs 1.60 lakh from a residence at Saleri-Khola on Monday. In her police compliant, one Ashmita Nandu Pagui told Canacona police that some culprits gained entry into her house in their absence between 10 am and 6.30 pm by removing rear side roof tiles.

In a daylight robbery, burglars decamped with cash and gold ornaments with Rs 1.60 lakh from a residence at Saleri-Khola on Monday.
In her police compliant, one Ashmita Nandu Pagui told Canacona police that some culprits gained entry into her house in their absence between 10 am and 6.30 pm by removing rear side roof tiles.
She claimed that the culprits had decamped with cash of Rs 40,000 and gold ornaments like chains, bracelets, earrings, rings, worth around Rs 1.20 lakh.
Incidentally, Ashmita Pagui is the panch of Khola panchayat and in the information provided to Canacona police, she along with her husband had left for some work in Mamlatdar’s office at Chaudi, and they returned only past 6.30 pm.
On reaching home, the couple found their front door was latched from inside and it could not open.
ASI Kamlakar Nail Gaunkar conducted panchanama.
PSI Terron D’Costa is investigating the case further.
