MARGAO: The Music Mafia and Ravindra Bhavan, Margao are organising the 5th edition of World Konkani Day celebration on Sunday, April 28.
The event is celebrated in the memory of late Waman Raghunath Shennoi Varde Valaulikar popularly known as Shenoi Goembab. Noted writer, Damodar Mauzo will be felicitated at the hands of Mahabaleshwar Sai.
The event will witness the Konkani World Convention, which will be held from 3 to 5 pm at the Conference Hall, Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, wherein the noted speakers from Goa will be discussing various topics around Konkani. The evening programme will have dance performances by All ladies dance group, Maitrini and Fit Zone by Sneha. Uncut Diamonds by Neil D’Cruz (young students from Vidya Vikas) will have a musical program.
Singers Cielda Pereira, Divya Naik, Shaistah Thapar, Yogita Yaji, Praveen Dias and Sidharth Yaji will also perform at the function. Sitar performance by Pt. Yograj Naik, Stand-up comedy and mimicry performance by renowned mimicry artist, Saidutt Kamat are also a part of the evening program.
