KTC staff want 7th Pay Commission implemented

PANJIM: Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) Drivers and Allied Employees Association under AITUC held a workers’ convention on Thursday demanding the immediate implementation of Seventh Pay Commission recommendations to the workers.
The workers unanimously decided that if the government does not implement the Seventh Pay Commission with effect from January 1, 2016 and fulfill other demands such as regularisation of badli and daily wage workers, they will wage a relentless, peaceful and united struggle throughout Goa until their demands are met.
The workers have demanded a clear-cut policy on re-employment of retired employees on contractual basis, filling up of all existing pending vacancies and promotions and a stop to all forms of outsourcing in the Corporation. 
The Association members pointed out that the government and KTC management, for last three years, have been assuring to implement the Pay Commission recommndations, however, no action has been initiated.
