Laadli scheme helps to maintain girl child ratio: Parrikar

MANDREM: Highlighting the schemes offered by the BJP government in the State, Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said Laadli Laxmi scheme has helped maintain the girl child ratio in the State.
Addressing a public meeting at Madhlamaj-Mandrem, he said Griha Aadhar, a scheme for house wives, has helped them to handle to expenses due the rise in prices of consumer goods, and added that the BJP would not only come up with development projects but will also work to satisfy the common man.
He further informed that Delhi is so polluted that if a glass of hot water is kept in the open it turns yellow within a minute. AAP will have to work at least for five years to gain public confidence. Soldiers manning the borders have high morale and are capable of protecting the countrymen and the nation is secure in the hands of the BJP government, he added.
Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar said, “A crowd of over 5000 people gathered here shows that there is no need of an MLA to nurture the constituency. It shows the people’s support for BJP. Challenging the Opposition, he said it should contest the panchayat election and try to win at least one ward. Congress does not even have courage and capacity to bag even five seats.
He highlighted the development done by BJP in Pernem taluka in terms of bridges, roads, development projects, employment generation projects, beautification projects, schemes and the four events, which were held in Goa in last three years. 
Dr Pramod Sawant, Shripad Naik, Rajendra Arlekar, Francis D’Souza, Michael Lobo, Dilip Parulekar, Dayanand Mandrekar, Narendra Sawaikar, Sadanand Tanawade, Anil Hoble, Sukhaji Naik and Dr Rajendra Phadke were present on the occasion.
