The Goa State Council of the Communist Party of India (CPI) opposed the Land Acquisition Bill-2015, claiming that the BJP was out to uphold the interests of corporates, land mafias and the builders’ lobby. “The new bill has removed the consent clause which was a precondition before acquisition of the land. This new bill is against the interests of the farmers.
