SANGUEM: The villagers from Ponsamoll, Bombdimoll and Chiraband have bitterly complained of the non-functioning of the LED lights along the Uguem Bridge.
The LED lights installed some months ago are reported to have been non-functional since their installation.
A local Francisco Carvalho informed that the issue of non-functioning of the streetlights along the Uguem bridge features at every gram sabha and the issue was brought to the notice of the electricity department, but the authorities have done nothing in this regard.
The youth have taken advantage of the non-functioning of streetlights by allegedly engaging themselves in nefarious activities especially during night.
