CURCHOREM: Forty-three-year-old Dilip Appa Gaonkar from Voidev, Kalay in Sanguem working as a line helper at Curchorem electricity department died due to electrocution on Thursday.
According to Investigating Officer PSI Girendra Naik, Gaonkar was electrocuted while working at Guddemol, Sanvordem near a double pole structure for gang operated air break switch.
“He was immediately shifted to Up-graded Primary Health Centre, Curchorem where doctors declared him brought dead,” Naik informed.
The post mortem revealed the cause of death due to electrocution.
