BICHOLIM: The All Goa Bar and Restaurant Owners Association called upon the bar owners to come together to force the new government to solve their problem.
The call was made at a meeting of the Association held at Bicholim comunidade hall, on Friday. At least 50 bar owners were present for the meeting.
On the occasion, Association President Michael Carrasco asked the bar owners to get united to solve the problem.
“We should be united and face this difficult situation. We should force the government to seriously think about our plight and come out with a solution,” he said.
He asked the Bicholim bar owners to submit a memorandum to the local MLA after the election results.
“We will get very little time to pressurize the new government to resolve our problem as there will be panchayat elections and during that time the politicians might not be able to help us,” he informed.
The meeting also urged with the new government to give them time and renew their license.
At least 200 bar owners affected in Bicholim. The association also urged the bar owners to become members of the association.
