PONDA: A truck carrying powder of gravel suddenly collapsed on its side at Top Cola in Borim, at 4 pm on Friday.
The truck was transporting the material from Banda Sawantwadi to a construction site in Verna.
The driver Mukesh Kumar (23) from Jharkhand said that the steering wheel suddenly got locked, as such, he could not control the vehicle; as a result, it collapsed on its side spilling the powder on road. The accident caused traffic congestion for two hours.
