PONDA: Following news of an Adpoi resident, a health worker testing positive, locals closed the Adpoi- Rasoi ferry service and also voluntary shut down their shops in Adpoi- Durbhat area
Locals pointed out that the ferry is used by hundreds of people from Vasco and Ponda to get to their work place, which include government jobs and companies based at industrial estates.

Sources said the family of the health worker at Adpoi has been checked by the medical team and have been home quarantined. The Marcaim hospital was also sanitised after one suspected COVID patient had visited the hospital.
