MARGAO: Locals who use the Margao to Quepem Road on a daily basis have complained about the condition of the road which has been presently dug up for sewerage works.
Locals lamented that the same road had been dug up a couple of times already for various works including that of sewerage network in the past and said they face great difficulty and hardship due to this.

Former Davorlim Sarpanch Herculano Niasso explained that the road had to be dug up again in their village as it was a low-lying area and the last time there were functional issues with the sewerage line due to heavy water logging in that area.
However, Niasso urged the authorities to properly plan the construction work so that after this the road is not dug up once again.
Locals added that it is dangerous traveling in the night due to poor illumination and added that minor accidents have already taken place.
