MARGAO: There was panic among the locals in Paroda as the part of the village lay submerged on Thursday following incessant rains.
Salcete witnessed 8 cases of trees getting uprooted, while houses were damaged as 2 trees crashed on them at Navelim. A tree damaged a house near the Presentation School in Fatorda.
The Margao-Quepem road was blocked due to flooding as Paroda locals were caught up in their houses due to the rising water levels. The locals yet again demanded that the Government take steps to avoid such situation next year.
