VALPOI: The Chorla Ghat route was blocked for almost three hours following reports of trees getting uprooted along the Poriem-Kerim stretch due to heavy downpour and gusty winds.
The Chorla route experienced a major traffic jam from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
The Valpoi fire personnel were kept on their toes to clear the trees at several places. The Valpoi fire station is facing a staff shortage but still they have done a very good job, said Sattari locals.
“We received many calls pertaining to natural disaster in last two days,” said the Valpoi fire officials.
