MARGAO: Locals from Talsanzor on Saturday evening succeeded in stopping the illegal construction started by a migrant Muslim woman from Monte Dongor who was reportedly constructing the house for her third daughter to live in.
While Talsanzor is in Fatorda Constituency and has a substantial number of scheduled tribe population living there, Monte Dongor comes under Margao Constituency and has mostly Muslims who are primarily migrants residing there.

In defiance of the objection by many, a Muslim woman from Monte Dongor taking advantage of the lockdown due to Coronavirus, on Saturday started constructing a house at Talsanzor.
The locals then gathered in large numbers and as they tried to demolish the illegal structure being erected, the woman called some males who attacked the gathered locals and injured some of them who were then taken to Hospicio for treatment and a case was registered at the Fatorda Police Station.
Monte Dongor that has a reputation of housing anti-socials and is known for its hooliganism is now affecting the hitherto peaceful Talsanzor locality as the migrants are moving to that area along with their rowdy behaviour.
