CANACONA: Loliem Sarpanch Bhushan Prabhugaonkar survived the no confidence motion on Wednesday. On January 20, five panchas had moved a no-confidence motion against Prabhugaonkar for supporting IIT without consulting the panchayat body.
On Wednesday, only four panches of the 9 member turned up at to support the motion. The Canacona BDO said that since the majority of the ‘total members’ vote against Bhushan, the motion has failed. and that Bhushan would continue as sarpanch.
