CANACONA: Deafening sounds in the skies of Canacona for over 5 minutes created a flutter of sorts, sending many alarmed residents rushing out of their houses and gazing into the skies on Wednesday morning.
It was at about 9.15 am that the sound began to emanate and it soon increased to an unbearable decibel at Agonda.
Each of the huge sounds were followed by another bigger sounds, as people rushed out of their houses and could only watch flying objects resembling fighter planes coming from the Karwar direction and proceeding towards Khola, before returning towards the Karwar side.
However, it could not be ascertained if some navy fighter planes were on routine sorties or were conducting a special exercise.
