Alleges that his son was kidnapped by three persons

MARGAO: Loutolim Panch member, Carmo Custodio Fernandes has complained to the Maina-Curtorim police that his 16-year old son Raj was allegedly kidnapped from his house on Thursday morning by three persons.
Acting on the complaint, the police has registered an offence of kidnapping under section 363 IPC against three unknown accused persons.
In his complaint, Carmo said he had left the house at 7 am on Thursday morning, while his wife and daughter had also left for Rachol. His elder son Velroy was asleep on the first floor.
He stated that around 7.15 am, a white coloured Maruti van pulled up outside his house and a person alighted from the same and pounced on Raj who was in the veranda, caught him by his mouth and pull him into the van and sprayed some liquid on his nose and drove away.
Carmo came back home around 9 am and did not find Raj at home. Moreover his elder son was also unaware of Raj’s whereabouts. Carmo immediately began a search but could not trace Raj until around 4 pm, when Raj walked in the house in a dazed state and narrated what had happened.
According to Raj the spray led to him falling unconscious. He said he regained consciousness at around 3.30 pm and found himself in some bushes at Devapaz-Devote, Loutulim. He walked to Verna-Loutulim road and took a lift on two wheeler till Devoti Chapel from where he walked home.
Rachol sarpanch, Joseph Vas has condemned the incident of kidnapping and demanded that police investigate the case and book the culprits. Congress spokesman Reginaldo Lourenco has also demanded a thorough probe in the incident. Later in the evening the boy was admitted to Hospicio Hospital for observation and treatment.
