MARGAO: Macazana Sarpanch Tereza Almeida e D’Costa and Deputy Sarpanch Joao Milagres D’Costa were on Tuesday voted out of office in a no confidence motion. The motion was carried by 4-0 votes.
When the motion was taken up for discussions at the panchayat meeting on Tuesday, both the Sarpanch and the deputy along with Panch member Francis D’Costa were conspicuous by their absence.
The four signatories, Salvador Fernandes, Cristina Vaz, Caeitano Vaz and Patrociano Vaz, who were all present for the meeting, voted in favour of the motion.
