Maharashtra native held for online fraud

PANJIM: The Cyber Crime police arrested one Sandeep Borkar in connection with an online fraud amounting to approximately Rs 1.92 crore.

PANJIM: The Cyber Crime police arrested one Sandeep Borkar in connection with an online fraud amounting to approximately Rs 1.92 crore.
As per details received, the 29-year-old Maharashtra native, a driver by profession, allegedly cheated various persons who then approached the police with a complaint.
“The accused was traced and taken into custody from Mumbai by the Cyber Crime team. When his house was searched, we found several bank accounts, driving licenses with different names and addresses but having same photograph,” an official said.
From the investigation, it has come to lignt that the accused is also involved in other cases in different states.
